We have been working with a Farm Committee for over twelve years. Its fifteen members are selected from all ‘layers’ of the company and provide important feedback to the board of directors and management.
The Farm Committee regularly meets in its own office. Here, its members discuss all matters that they consider important for the company and employees. They also discuss these issues with the board of directors and management on a regular basis.
This type of cooperation has significantly improved communication with the top layers of the company, partly due to the fact that the Farm Committee can decide for itself which topics are priorities, both in terms of discussion and in implementation.
One of the most important results to have come from this, is the Wagagai Newsletter. This publication appears twice annually and has now existed for over 10 years (the 20th edition appeared recently). Anyone is welcome to submit an article to the Newsletter. It is an incredibly effective means to reinforce communications with and by our employees.
