It is the easiest solution for mothers who want to stay at work: child daycare. Whilst it might be an obvious solution in other parts of the world, though, it is not always the case in Uganda. That’s why we started our own daycare.
We have two Baby Care Centers for breastfeeding mothers. During the working day, the babies are cared for by 8 women employed by the company. On average, they take care of 60-80 babies every day.
Breastfeeding
During the tea break and lunch break, mothers are given the chance to breastfeed their children, for which they are given an extra 15 minutes in each break. If something is wrong with a baby’s health, our clinic is nearby and ready to help. This is our way to contributing to women’s position in society and their children’s health.
